Aug 3-11 Bridges, Islands, and Mainlands

Every year we make the journey
We leave the everyday and depart to the every year.
We take off boots, tennis shoes and muck boots and replace them
with sandals or no shoes.

The waves begin to wash away the worries and the cares as
sandcastles and giggles fill our drought ridden spaces.
It's been another dry year for our animals, our land, and even our hearts, but we see hope each morning.
Somehow the clouds reveal different things when they sit over an expansive ocean.
 We see angels watching.
We see children praying,
and I'm reminded that this is a familiar house....
in fact, this is a familiar scene played out in my life for well over 35 years.
Time...
Time to cross from the "mainland" over the "bridge" to the "island".
I can stay on this island for our alotted week, but
even if my heart would like to stay in a "remote and undisclosed location",
a bubble away from the world yet holding the most important parts of my world,
I must return to the mainland.
There will be a day when we will be "called out" to Kingdom that holds our allegiance,
but until we are,
we are "CALLED OUT" to live as aliens on this earth for the Master of the universe.
May I know Lord, just what we are called to do.
May I recognize the opportunities You place in my path for Your purpose,
and
May I KNOW that i KNOW that I KNOW
You are our "bridge" that connects this mainland to Homeland.
